Jetstar's current carry-on baggage restrictions for all Economy Starter, Starter Plus and Starter Max passengers is one main item (56cm height x 36 cm width x 23 cm dimension) and one other small item, with a total combined weight of up to 10kg.

Checked Luggage

Passengers travelling on Jetstar Airways (JQ), Jetstar Asia (3K) or Jetstar Pacific (BL) flights who purchased their bundle after 16 July 2015 are automatically given a 20 kg checked baggage allowance and can purchase up to 20kg of extra baggage.

Economy Starter Plus passengers travelling on Jetstar Japan (GK) domestic flights who purchased their Plus bundle after 16 July 2015 are automatically given 10kg checked baggage allowance and can purchase up to an additional 30kg of extra baggage.

Passengers who arrive after check-in has closed will not be able to board the flight and may forfeit their entire fare.

Check-in Closing Times:

• Flights operated by Jetstar (JQ) leaving from Australian Domestic terminals: 30 minutes before scheduled departure

• Intra-Asia flights operated by Jetstar Asia (3K) or Valuair (VF): 40 minutes before scheduled departure

• Flights operated by Jetstar (JQ) leaving from International terminals: 60 minutes before scheduled departure

Check-in Opening Times:

• Flights operated by Jetstar (JQ) leaving from Australian Domestic terminals: 2 hours before scheduled departure

• Intra-Asia flights operated by Jetstar Asia (3K) or Valuair (VF): 2 hours before scheduled departure

• Flights operated by Jetstar (JQ) leaving from International terminals: 3 hours before scheduled departure

Once checked-in, you will be required to be at the boarding gate, at least:
