Information about flights to Singapore
Why visit Singapore? Why not is the question. There are many reasons to visit Singapore but so few not to. Take a whole week or just a weekend to visit some of the world’s most famous attractions, from shopping, dining, clubbing to Botanic Gardens, the popular Singapore Flyer, and the magnificent Artwork Chinatown Heritage Centre.
If you are visiting with your family, make sure you do not miss the Merlion Park. As the name predicts, here you can meet the myth of the half-fish half-lion icon Merlion. The body of this national icon is a fish which symbolises Singapore’s humble beginnings as a shipping village. Its head symbolises the original name of the city ‘Singapura’ which means ‘the lion city’.
For lovers of science, the Science Centre Singapore is something that you cannot miss. This centre is the home of over 1000 exhibits in 14 different galleries. Some of the most staggering exhibits are the different layers of the Earth, and a live demonstration of a fire tornado. Both kids and adults have something new to learn here, even if science is not your thing, rest assured you will find it interesting.
If you want to visit the Hollywood of Asia, then head to the Universal Studios Singapore™ where children and adults alike can ride crazy roller rides, one of the most popular being the Transformers Ride! Here you can also watch 4-D adventure movies such as Shrek that will allow you to feel the action of the movie.
The ‘Lion City’ is also popular for hosting various waterparks. Some of the most popular ones include The Adventure Cove, which is the home of the first hydro-magnetic coaster. As well as the slides and tubes, you can also swim with the fish and feed the stingrays! Another famous waterpark is the Port of Lost Wonder, which is ideal for young kids as there are water pistols, mini slides, and even mini water jets!
If you want to live the lux life, then visit the Marina Bay Sans. This is a resort notable for transforming the Singapore’s city skyline as it is made up of 55-storey towers of luxurious hotel rooms.
