Cathay Pacific is the flag carrier of Hong Kong, headquartered with its main hub at Hong Kong International Airport. Cathay Pacific Luggage Requirements
Included in your ticket is a free baggage allowance, which can vary depending on your route, class and member tier. If you wish to take extra luggage, this is possible at a charge.
Each passenger (except infants) is allowed to take onboard one piece of cabin luggage which does not exceed the dimensions 56x36x23cm (22x14x9 inch), including wheels & handles. The weight allowance permitted depends on ticket class purchased.If you are travelling with a First class ticket you are entitled to 15kg (33 Ibs), Business class tickets has a maximum of 10kg (22 Ibs) and finally Premium Economy and Economy is entitled to 7 kg (15 Ibs). All First and Business Class ticket holders can bring one additional soft bad or garment which is not more than 8in/20cm thick.
Checked Baggage Allowance
Travelling to/from any destination other than the Americas then passengers have included the following luggage allowance. With no specific limit on the number of pieces you are allowed to check in, although 2 are preferred, the maximum dimensions allowed is 62 linear inches/157 cm. The weight allowance varies depending on your class. So Economy passengers can check in up to 20 kg/44 lb. Business class allowance is more at 30 kg/66 lb and finally first class passengers can check in 44 kg/88 lb.If travelling to/from Central, North or South America each passenger is allowed 2 checked bags as long as each bag adheres to the below requirements:
Maximum weight restrictions for First class passengers is 32kg (70lbs).
Business Class is 32kg (70lbs), Premium Economy is 25kg (55lbs) and Economy is 23kg (50lbs).
Note that the total dimensions for each item of luggage must not exceed 158cm (62in)70 lb/32 kg.

It is reported that Cathay Pacific's net profit rose 20 percent last year thanks to a recovery in a cargo business that the airline plans to expand to meet increasing demand on long-haul routes. Its profit reached HKD%243.2 billion (USD%24412.48 million) in 2014 which is a 5.5 percent rise in revenue at HKD%24106 billion. Although the airline have not provided guidance for this current year, they advised it is "positive about the overall prospects for 2015"

Online Check-In for opens from 48 hours up to 90 minutes prior to flight departure. During the check in process you can select a seat for yourself and your group. Print your Boarding Pass and all your group. Be sure to bring this with you to the airport along with a valid travel document.If you are travelling with checked luggage, simply go to the Self Check-In Bag Drop Counters at the airport (where available) and drop your bag off.
